What if the secret to looking younger isn’t a pricey moisturizing cream or a magic pill, but instead something you already own? As we get older, we tend to lose the vitality of our smile due to missing or decaying teeth. Unfortunately, the appearance of your smile greatly influences how people perceive you. If you believe your missing teeth make you seem older, you should visit a mini implant dentist. Fortunately, Fine Dental Care is an amazing dental practice that offers mini dental implants to restore and revitalize your smile! We provide effective and affordable solutions with mini implants that replace teeth in just one appointment!

Why Use Mini Dental Implants?
Of all the methods to replace teeth, why use mini dental implants?
Mini implants offer amazing advantages that other implant options—like traditional dental implants—don’t! For one, these implants are less than 3 millimeters in diameter, making them much smaller than other implant options.
Due to their smaller diameter, we can place these implants using a minimally invasive procedure. Unlike traditional implants, which require an incision and large drills, we place mini implants with a small pilot hole—about the size of a toothpick!
Additionally, mini implants need less jawbone structure, which makes them more accessible to patients with reduced jawbone density. To get traditional dental implant restorations, patients need ample jawbone. Unfortunately, those who suffer tooth loss also suffer jawbone resorption or the loss of mass and volume in the bone.
Without a bone graft—which adds to the length and price of your procedure—patients are often ineligible for a traditional implant. In contrast, mini implants use less jawbone structure, allowing many patients to qualify even without the bone graft!
Due to the sleek, one-piece design of mini implants, we place them in one appointment rather than several. Amazingly, we can place temporary, or in some cases final, restorations on the same day! This reduces both the time and cost of your procedure!
One-piece implants are also less expensive than traditional dental implants because you only have to pay for one component. With traditional implants, you pay for multiple components, appointments, and likely a bone graft!
While we will use a traditional dental implant when the situation calls for it, we often use mini implants for the amazing benefits they offer patients like you.
How a Mini Implant Dentist Enhances the Appearance of Your Smile
A mini implant dentist uses this minimally invasive procedure to replace teeth and keep your jawbone healthy, enhancing your appearance.
Because these implants are embedded into the jawbone, they help maintain your jawbone’s shape and volume. When suffering bone resorption, your jawbone shrinks, creating excessive wrinkling and altering your face shape. Dental implants prevent bone resorption, keeping your jawbone healthy, all while supporting restorations like crowns, bridges, or dentures that replace your missing teeth!
Implant Crowns
A crown is like a tooth-shaped cap that we use to replace one missing tooth. While you may need multiple crowns placed throughout your smile, each one has a pre-made hole that snaps onto the implant sticking out above your gum line.
Implant Bridges
A bridge is like a series of crowns—called pontics—fused together to replace a row of missing teeth. If you are missing a chunk of your smile, we can place a dental bridge to “bridge” the gap between natural teeth, keeping your smile full and beautiful!
Implant Dentures
A denture is exactly as it sounds, replacing all of your teeth, but instead of relying on an unstable jawbone or suction to stay in place, an implant denture is retained with dental implants! At Fine Dental Care, we offer three types of mini implant dentures that range in design.
-
A roundhouse bride offers a sleek horseshoe design made to resemble your natural smile! Snap-on denture: You can remove this denture at any time—similar to a traditional denture. However, when in place, this restoration will never slip around in your mouth as it is secured by 4-8 mini implants! You can remove a Snap-on denture for ease of cleaning and when you’re done, you can “snap” it back in place. In some cases, we can even transform your traditional denture into a snap-on denture if it is in great condition.
- Semi-permanent roundhouse bridge: This prosthetic always stays in your mouth—except at the dentist’s office. At Fine Dental Care, we will carefully remove your semi-permanent roundhouse bridge for routine checkups. You, however, never remove this restoration, so it feels similar to the natural teeth in your mouth. Additionally, a semi-permanent roundhouse bridge uses 6-10 mini implants for support, so we can forget the bulky denture base and create a natural-looking appearance for your smile!
- Permanent roundhouse bridge: A permanent roundhouse bridge never comes out of your mouth, as it is cemented in place on 10-12 mini implants. With this level of stability, these teeth function almost exactly like your natural teeth and look seamless in your mouth! With no pink base and a sleek horseshoe design, this restoration will give you a confident and beautiful smile.
